WAGC Juniors @ Hartfield Junior Open

Congratulations to two of our juniors for their performance at the recent Hartfield Junior Open.  Lucas Wan (pictured) finished second in the Boys Gross with a great score of 72 and Zerlina Xu finished runner up in the Girls Stableford with 38 points!

Lucas Parkinson also posted a great score of 36 points in the Boys Stableford and Ryan Leck shot 85 in the Boys Gross.  Well done to all, please keep sharing your achievements with us!

Australian Junior Amateur

The Australian Junior Amateur is taking place this week at Gosnells Golf Club followed by the Australian Junior Interstate Series next week at Royal Fremantle.  Alice Tonts is the lone WAGC junior participating, and we wish her all the best!  Click Here to see the live scoring.

Senior Pennant

Men's Senior Pennant started this week and they were off to a flying start with the Men's Senior Individual Division 2 team recording a great 3-2 win over Joondalup at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.  Chas Sabato was first out and fought hard all day to finish 2up on the 18th hole.  Stuart Kemp had a convincing 7&6 and Richard Jackson followed with an equally impressive 5&4 win.  Solid start for the team who now head to Joondalup Country Club to play Melville

There were two very similar results for the Men Senior 4BBB Teams with both teams defeated 4 games to 1 away from home with the Green Division going down to Cottesloe and the Orange Division to Lake Karrinyup.   Congratulations to pairings Jones/Cooke and Farrow/Onn on their 2&1 wins.

Last Monday 8 April, the Volunteer Gardening Group celebrated its five year anniversary with a great deal achieved through this time. Along with the improved maintenance of course garden beds, the old Maintenence Facility between 2nd and 8th fairways has been restored as a dedicated headquarters and this has assisted with storage of equipment donated by Members.

We have seen volunteers come and go over the years mainly due to relocation whilst some of us are getting older but wiser and we have secured two more volunteers recently which is fantastic.

We all trust you are enjoying our efforts around the course especially around everlastings time in spring.

A big thank you to Gaye Hayes and Josh our chef for the tasty and very fattening morning tea.
Thanks, the Volunteers.

And from the Board, Members and Staff we would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers for all their hard work and dedication to keeping our gardens looking amazing!
