Men’s Membership Pathway
Begin your journey to a lifetime of golf.
At this time, all Men’s playing categories are full and new applicants are progressing through our waitlist pathway. This pathway begins with Clubhouse Membership and offers entry into a vibrant social community. Members then move through the membership categories strictly in order of their membership start date. We do not offer options to bypass the waitlist.
By joining now, you secure your place in line and take the first step toward a lifetime of golf at The Western Australian Golf Club.
1 Begin with Clubhouse Membership
Clubhouse Membership is open to anyone aged 18 years and over and provides an excellent introduction to the WAGC experience. You will enjoy access to our social and hospitality offerings while also securing your place on the playing Membership waitlist.
As a Clubhouse Member, you will enjoy:
- Full access to the Clubhouse, dining areas and Members’ bar with lunch available daily and dinner on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
- A vibrant calendar of Club events including wine dinners, quiz nights, live music and themed evenings.
- The opportunity to host memorable occasions in our function spaces, featuring panoramic views.
- The ability to welcome guests to share in the WAGC hospitality experience.
- A house levy credited to your member account for food and beverage purchases.
Please note: Clubhouse Membership does not include access to the golf course or practice facilities unless playing as the guest of a member.

2 Join the Pending Waitlist
After becoming a Clubhouse Member, you may request to be added to the Pending Membership Waitlist.
Your waitlist position is based strictly on your membership start date. You may choose to begin paying your Entrance Fee for playing membership once on the waitlist to secure current and/or concessional rates (optional).
3 Pending Membership (Waitlist Category)
When a vacancy becomes available in Pending membership, the Club will invite the next eligible applicant from the waitlist. As a Pending Member you will be placed on the waitlist for Lifestyle Membership.
- Arrange a voting (playing) Member (if you did not have one when joining as a Clubhouse Member) to propose your upgrade to Pending Membership.
- Attend an interview with a Member of the Board.
- Pay the Entrance Fee (if not already paid). Payment and instalment options are available.
- Pay the annual subscription fee.

While Pending Membership is not a formal playing category and does not include voting rights, it is a privilege that provides limited access to the golf course and practice facilities, subject to the following conditions:
- Practice facilities: Pending Members may access the practice facilities outside of competition times, in line with the Club’s policies.
- Playing the Course: Lifestyle Member playing times open to Pending Members at 12:00pm the day prior and can be booked online (subject to availability). Pending Members are required to pay a green fee each time they play and receive a 50% concession on the guest green fee.
- Guests: Pending Members may invite guests during eligible playing times in line with Guest Policy. Full guest green fees apply.

4Lifestyle Membership
When a position becomes available, you will be offered Lifestyle Membership, which is the first formal playing membership category within the pathway.
As a Lifestyle Member, you no longer pay green fees and will gain access to booking sheets within your playing times as soon as they open (typically 7 days prior, subject to playing time restrictions).
5Progression Through Playing Categories
Once you become a Lifestyle Member, you can enter the structured pathway toward Full playing Membership at WAGC.

- Your position on each waitlist is based solely on your membership start date.
- We are unable to provide an estimated timeframe for progression through the waitlists, as this is dependent on the movements and decisions of current members.
- All upgrades are governed strictly by the Club’s policies and the Board.
