Benefits of Joining WAGC
“Golf is a compromise between what your ego wants you to do, what experience tells you to do, and what your nerves let you do.” – Bruce Crampton
The Western Australian Golf Club is ideally located 8 kilometres from the Perth CBD and nestled among the rolling hills of Yokine, easily accessible from the city via Charles Street or the Mitchell Freeway.
The traditional Tudor Clubhouse overlooks superb fairways, greens and a picturesque lake, and also boasts views to the city and Darling Ranges, notably the 12th tee box is the highest view point within the metropolitan area.
Established in 1928, the 18 hole championship course has hosted various International and National professional tournaments, attracting players worldwide to test their skills and endurance on a track that claims challenging holes with hazards and hills in the battle of the fittest both mentally and physically!
Renovations to the Clubhouse have been carried out over the years, with the last major renovation completed in 2016. The results of the renovation see the Tudor style Clubhouse maintain its charm and character for the enjoyment of all members and visitors alike.
However, it is the strong camaraderie amongst the membership and the social atmosphere that are the key reasons The Western Australian Golf Club is an attractive club to join. Members define who and what WAGC represents, and we promote ourselves as a Club for life! Becoming a Member is your opportunity to share in the private facilities of the Western Australian Golf Club. To truly understand the scenic beauty that is a hidden treasure of Yokine, please come for a visit and acquaint yourself with the area.
